T.M. Gand is a contemporary artist, living in Abilene, Texas.  She specializes in the use of texture, color, and layering affects.  In 2005 she discovered her passion for painting, while working for a local university and taking advantage of the classes offered.  T.M. was teetering between taking economics or beginning painting, when her advisor enthusiastically replied "painting!"  Originally a student in structural engineering in the 90's, this class offered her a new world of color, canvas, and experimentation.  She now enjoys a 600 square foot studio in the downtown historic district of Abilene, Texas, where she plans to start teaching workshops in early 2013.
